How Do You Feel About Yourself

This should have been my first topic, after all isn’t this why I started this blog.  How humble can I be.   I am not sure if I am meeting this goal, but I am working on it.  Today I was reminded how much time we put into our self confidence, liking oneself.

Although I am in a relationship, it doesn’t mean that all is copacetic.  Recently, I discovered my partner was chatting with someone else, someone I had no knowledge off (some who was kept a secret, and worth a lie when discovered).  What does it mean, that I am sure I don’t know.  Although, so much work is in play to keep me happy and insure me that I am the one.  I cannot shake that feeling.  Have you had anyone cheat on you?  I have in a previous relationship, it’s hard, I can’t treat both people the same, this time I have six years of invested interest, and I don’t want to just walk away, I do need to reconcile this. I started chatting with someone on one of those chat/dating services, and that is not working for me at all.  Two wrongs don’t make a right.  The feeling of being loved has to be genuine, it’s not something that can be forced.  Don’t worry, I divulged my predicament to this individual, I wouldn’t want to pass the buck.

In my earlier days, I would have said smell you and walked away, and even in this relationship, I have always said if you want to, do so, but just be honest about it.  What do you do if you can’t get your partner to speak with you, to express themselves with you instead of looking elsewhere.  What does this mean about me? Am I a bad partner, probably!  I am not sure.  It couldn’t have come at a bad time, I’m in between places, and of course there is all those other considerations, finances, the kids, and for me, I am currently unemployed.  I just feel tied.

The funny thing is now, I am the one seeking a friendship outside the relationship, I need someone to talk to as a balance.  I find it easier talking to a stranger at this point, as current friends are mutual and of course family, well not necessarily they want to hear about it.

I know this is not news and million and trillions have subsided with this issue before me and will after as well.

Have A Great Day

  1. Hi Edmund, First of all no its not you, in my opinion you are a fantastic partner, and an amazing brother. Second I am so sorry I have been so distant. I should be there for you, and I’m not recently. I believe you know why, but still it’s not an excuse. I have never had anyone cheat on me, so I don’t know how you feel, but I hope with time, this can be fixed between the both of you. Six years is a long time. I really don’t know what I would do if this happen between my husband and I, almost 26 years is a long time. Although, sometimes I feel I cant stand him, just because I’m very irritated with everything and anything that is going on. It is certainly not a reason to think I would be better on my own. I hope things can work out for you my dear brother. Love You!!! :)
