Inspired

I was inspired tonite watching Alexandre Bilodeau win Gold.  His story is one of inspiration, one of heart and sole, and of love.  I watched him say thanks to his brother, his family and of the world.  What got to me was how humble he was, he didn’t forget to tape the competitor on the shoulder, he didn’t forget the volunteers, his manager and the list goes on.  The tears in his eyes were real and I was moved.  Later, I got to see him in the news studio with his brother and family, he states it as it is, this is my family and you could see, while the little sister seemed petrified he was just natural, and got up to help his brother, and to be sure he was attentive.

A Perfect example of humble, he puts me to shame. He also, reminded me, of why I started this blog. The meaning behind it. You can’t be successful if you can not lay it on the line.  Thank you  Alexandre Bilodeau.

Keeping it Up

The reason I started this blog, was to become more humble. I know that sounds weird, but really, I figured if I could tell my woe’s to strangers, anomalously I could in turn learn how to be open in my regular life.  The problem is that after a few blogs. I noticed they just looked like complaining (whining), and so I slowed down as I felt this did not represent me. It doesn’t.

Has it helped thought! Yes!!!! ‘Cause even though I haven’t been writing regularly, it’s in the back of my mind.  However, the other day I was at a friends house and I couldn’t have been more humble, more open, no holding back.  I felt more empowered and it felt right.  I think not holding back or taking down those imaginary walls is something everyone should do.

Forcing your self to be honest and open with others, causes you to be honest and open with yourself.  Give it a try.

How Do You Help!

I have a very bad problem of sticking my nose where it does not belong.  My little niece is in trouble and I would love to help; unfortunately, the issue is a matter of love and I don’t live near her.  She however, lives near her parents and they are involved.  I don’t know why I do it but I do.  I called up my sister today and got forceful on what she should be doing despite my nieces wishes.  I guess my biggest fear is they would lose the child to the boys parents.  That is right!  There is a child involved and abuse.

It’s not that I want my sister to do something against my nieces wishes, but honestly do you think she is thinking clearly, no and I know my sister isn’t either.  All I want is to be sure they visit a lawyer and ensure that they know the steps to ensure they don’t lose their grandchild.

Should I be saying something? I don’t think it is my place, how can I tell someone how to run their lives, who am I.  On the other hand they are my family and I have a vested interest and I love them all.  Please help what should I do?  I tried today, but I think I just blotched it and I look like a bully. How do I get myself  in such a mess?.

Making Restitution

When you have gotten hurt, how do you put it all back together, ONE DAY AT A TIME.  The good thing is that in the process you learn allot about yourself and you see things that you may have taken for granted.  Just know that in whatever direction you step forth, you won’t be able to go back and change it just correct it.  In some cases correcting something doesn’t mean it will be restored just means it will be fixed.

The right thing is to be sure in your heart, that your okay with whatever decision you make, and trust in yourself that you are making the right one, even if it isn’t the right one.  Besides, how are you really to know!  You can only live with the outcome, and pray for the best, hope that you learnt something, and that you are a better person for the experience.  Have you been in such a situation? How did you handle it and are you comfortable with that decision.

I think that at every stage of your life the same scenario, will result in a different outcome, why?; because as you move through life your point of view changes, just like your clothes, your furniture and even your hairstyle.  You never regret terrible getting rid of that stuff, so why should you do so with your emotions.

How Do You Feel About Yourself

This should have been my first topic, after all isn’t this why I started this blog.  How humble can I be.   I am not sure if I am meeting this goal, but I am working on it.  Today I was reminded how much time we put into our self confidence, liking oneself.

Although I am in a relationship, it doesn’t mean that all is copacetic.  Recently, I discovered my partner was chatting with someone else, someone I had no knowledge off (some who was kept a secret, and worth a lie when discovered).  What does it mean, that I am sure I don’t know.  Although, so much work is in play to keep me happy and insure me that I am the one.  I cannot shake that feeling.  Have you had anyone cheat on you?  I have in a previous relationship, it’s hard, I can’t treat both people the same, this time I have six years of invested interest, and I don’t want to just walk away, I do need to reconcile this. I started chatting with someone on one of those chat/dating services, and that is not working for me at all.  Two wrongs don’t make a right.  The feeling of being loved has to be genuine, it’s not something that can be forced.  Don’t worry, I divulged my predicament to this individual, I wouldn’t want to pass the buck.

In my earlier days, I would have said smell you and walked away, and even in this relationship, I have always said if you want to, do so, but just be honest about it.  What do you do if you can’t get your partner to speak with you, to express themselves with you instead of looking elsewhere.  What does this mean about me? Am I a bad partner, probably!  I am not sure.  It couldn’t have come at a bad time, I’m in between places, and of course there is all those other considerations, finances, the kids, and for me, I am currently unemployed.  I just feel tied.

The funny thing is now, I am the one seeking a friendship outside the relationship, I need someone to talk to as a balance.  I find it easier talking to a stranger at this point, as current friends are mutual and of course family, well not necessarily they want to hear about it.

I know this is not news and million and trillions have subsided with this issue before me and will after as well.

Careers

I don’t have much of a career, I spent twelve years in one industry and after a year of soul searching I am no further ahead.  I’m not sure what I am suppose to be doing.  It’s confusing, a lot of people I have spoken to have said to let it happen.  Is it suppose to be like a relationship, works best when you are not looking? Who knows.  Yet, there are all those people who find their calling, I guess we all can’t be chiefs right?  Some of us, have to help others get to where they need to go.

For anyone who is or has been unemployed can relate to this, applying for your next position is really frustrating, try finding that right position, one that you have all the qualifications for, or they are looking for what you have to offer but the pay doesn’t match, and even if it appears you’d be a perfect fit, will you get that call.

At this point in my life, I am trying to change my career, but in looking for a starting position in this field, yikes.  Experience seems to be what’s on everyone’s minds.  The recession is a big factor here as well, a year ago, the wage level for the entry level was pretty decent, now I see the wage level set to minimum wage with three years of experience.  WOW.

I can just imagine how this affects, those who live in a rural area and will have to travel in order to get that next job, will it even be worth the commute!

Work from home sounds great, but you really do need the resources up front to get on with this, and you really need to be careful not to get involved in some scheme, not to mention the business world hasn’t quite move to this concept; wanting to keep control, and ensure they are paying for the outmost in productivity.

Patience is your best virtue.

Allowing Others Into Your Life

Meeting someone new is always an interesting thing, they can always be a sense of new inspiration, open your mind to new ideals, relax your point of view on existing thoughts, take your mind away from the thoughts that plague your creative juices, keeping you in a rut.

I’m probably the most antisocial person there is (at least that I know off); but recently, I’ve been forced to go outside of my comfort zone.  I guess I’m better at socializing than I thought.  I helped my partner with a client and now that client keeps asking for me.  I had few other opportunities to chat with people and all went well.

The lesson, I’m learning is not to sell yourself short. Give yourself a chance, do what you think you can’t or at least try it.  You may just surprise yourself.
